Jack, show me your stripes... What will you listen to, and why?

Enabler extraordinaire: Promise me you will do this... As soon as you leave the swampy lands behind, and feel the blood pumping from America's heart and its dry, dusty road you will play this guy.

I said "Why must I?"
I had heard the stories, seen White Stripes, but gave little credit at first to the why-should-I.
Tim Burtonesque face with lone ranger voice. I'm sure if I were as lucky during my adventure to bump into a modern day saloon these would be the sounds that would fill the place.

You were right!

The strongest pillar in the world

Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be... Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you'll live as you've never lived before.
Erich Fromm

Words in green

The Road Less Traveled

The most awaited day of the year is here! Or it was... yesterday.
The day was so full of action that I had to wait until today to post what is the most exciting starting point of this year so far.

The Road Less Traveled is about taking yourself out of your comfort zone in order to expand your ability to absorb the world around you. So many times we rely on routine in our lives and move around the bubbles we create for ourselves. A while ago, without really noticing it, I decided to pop mine up. Months have gone by since I took this turn and it has been a heck of a creative ride.

This idea is taken even further by opening the first window into what is the most thrilling adventure within the adventure: making public something so personal as it is the creative process (at least for this artist).

The wonderful people of Kickstarter.com are hosting what will be my artistic project for this summer of 2012. Just in the first day 6 wondrous supporters have joined this adventure.

We love signed posters! - Nautica South Beach 2012

What is better than participating in a cause that encourages people to do something beneficial for themselves while helping others?
I know! Running, swimming and biking all along the beautiful Miami Beach in order to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer.

Thousands of athletes were part of the 5th annual stamina extravaganza named Nautica South Beach Triathlon last April 1st. Over $400,000 were raised for St. Jude, and that makes all of us very happy.

Once again, it was my pleasure to support the wonderful FedEx team with a commemorative poster for this year's event. We overdosed in sugar with all the pastries, cookies and what not that the team captain fed each one of the participants while they stopped by to say hello and take their signed poster.

In colored lines we shall swim.

Once there was a DJ

Who used to play some music
Great music
Smiths, late 80's and lots of New Wave
All to alleviate the stress caused by the late afternoon traffic
Warm, confidential voice
The city with the great green lungs
Déjà-vu filled afternoon
90's come back for a mere 5'54"
Humdrum university student lights up like a storm
Don't want to get home
Play me some more

The VV club

(An astrological joke).

You too?
Hell yeah!
I don't know what to do
Holy planet... Me three, I think we're doomed
How to change? How to change?
Blood-pumping muscle in war with head
Day and night, non-stop wrestling, lots of pain
I tried something the other day!
Did it work?
It did not, I must say...
Talk it out, let them know
It makes all scared, run away
Laugh it out, I don't care
Victims come, victims go
Sounds like war
To me it's a game
No one wins, still we play

This one, to my dear friends

Silver Surfer, watch, tornado ahead!

First time in white.

The Symbiosis activist (Friday's comparison chart)

One Friday there was the sun
There was the soil, burning orange, steaming hot
The ground exploding up, common it was not
Sharp point defense rised from green down there
Volcanic rock, dry earth
Indigo up, mystical borderland
Sweet, sweet smell
Hard labor's gift
Tingling instant with intent
Taste the moment, shut the brain

Labor again?
Recurring theme
Is April marching in reverse?

Subconscious keeps a tally
New brothers to the monumental head
Tangled up, allow themselves to melt

Reply to a thank you note

A Lion used to prowl about a field in which Four Oxen used to dwell. Many a time he tried to attack them; but whenever he came near they turned their tails to one another, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. At last, however, they fell a-quarrelling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Then the Lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four.

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.”

Dark night of the soul (Geological Era)

But you said I was...
You f*ck*d it friend.
I could see for miles, miles, miles...
Saying nothing, everything burnt away.
Now I know it in my memory... (not enough for me).
You were not magnificent.

The Spiller (AKA: the story within the story within)

WOW! Who's responsible for this mess?!
(Silence and a highbrow glance at the attacker).
Who took so long to get from A to Z?
You mean you don't mind the multiple wine spills?
It took forever to read!
Breath deeply and shut your lids.
It makes no sense! It has no point to read within the story that's within.
That's why I need to see a tornado from up close, I'm sure the most interesting things are written inside of it. Not so much a want, it's more of a need.
AND WHAT IS THIS??!! Is this red? is this blue? why is the green creating this grid???
I was drinking and I spilled...
(with a calmer voice now) Terrible accidents happen everyday.
No mishap took place here...
Was this on purpose?
Yes, indeed!

The biggest enabler in the world

Who?
Don't play dumb.
I'd really like to know...
Grab a mirror, look what's in front.
You mean me?
Is anyone else called J***s?
You should do more!
With the mud, playing that song? The dress, the jumps?
I'll laugh out loud, then I'll say stop.
If, and only if you throw a fact that's not quite so...
Lightbulb lighting up in my head!!!
You make me proud, don't say, just do, then write about and it will do.

April and its burning Ring of Fire

What did you do last night, city girl?
I submitted my project to the wonderful people of Kickstarter.com
What are you doing tonight?
Playing a happy country girl while I wait for their answer...
Does the waiting make you feel out of your comfort zone?
It's April... anything is possible.
You didn't answer my question.
I'm taking The Road Less Travelled.

The night she wore a trenchcoat to dinner (AKA: Micro-Theatre soirée)

(Dinner finished)

I'll be back, I'm cold.
Cold after that cheese, pasta and soup?
I barely drank any wine...
Do you believe ghosts are around us?
I played with an Ouija board once.
I bet he walked all over you at night.
That was 'cause Ramona said NO to the 150k.
There are 5 people here, but only 4 seats.
Silence, please! The play on 2 is about to start!
And this guy?
He just woke up from his nap.

More wine!

Fighting the in-betweens

Fall down, fall low
Fail to sleep between the dreams
Short on time
Whilst expectations rise
Monster I can't control
Carry on with pride
Golden glow today gone
Distinct house, sit by the yard
Outside in, inside out
Looking in, no rules apply

You're always sleeping on my toaster

Isn't that what the song says???

That is what happens when you are editing and you mouse-over a clip a bit too fast.

Editing what???

Ok, ok... here's the real thing (I still think my version is more appropriate for the toaster).
I (heart) you Drums, you sound like summer!
